Marcia Meyers

Marcia Meyers is intrigued by the shapes of scraps ‘left behind’ in her studio, producing strong new work from the negative shapes--the leavings of earlier pieces.

“The is a challenge of producing strong designs from the leavings of earlier pieces has become a game. Sometimes these “old shapes’ work with or kindles new dreamlike elements, which may augment the old; or they may stand alone.”

Marcia’s studio is in Port Townsend, Washington.  She is a graduate of Texas Tech with a degree in Design and Tailoring, and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy in design and metalsmithing. She has had work included in many exhibitions across the US and in Ornament Magazine.
