Megan McGaffigan's Artist Bio
Melding the antiquated method of tintype photography with traditional jewelry making techniques, Megan McGaffigan creates objects of adornment that touch on ideas of tradition, sentiment, and longing.
“I am interested in creating intimate objects that attribute sentiment to things, places, or times that no longer exist. I am drawn to the idea of an unexceptional material being laced with something precious.”
